Cold, but so far so good

Good news, at -22C (-8F) the cabin is still warm with the wood stove pretty much dampered down nearly as much as possible, and the truck started.
Hurray!!!
Forecast is for  a low of-33C (-25F)  and a high of -22C (-19F) on Tuesday, I am pretty sure that to start the truck I would need to plug in the block-heater... we'll see. Even if I am not coming to town, and I am probably not, I may try the truck just to see if it starts....the key is of course to make sure that I do not drain the battery trying to start it.

I am just back after two weeks away (I had to go to Calgary) and came back to the cold weather and the totally frozen Slave River. Two weeks ago there was not even floating ice cubes on the river and now it is nearly totally frozen with rare open patches... that's was quick!
