Back at The Cabin

I haven't blogged in a while and a lot (or nothing, depending how you look at it) happened.

Fall is here, the leaves are turning and the days are glorious.

I honestly think that most of what have been eating lately is fish. I started fishing myself and also was given some fish (better than what I was catching).

Those are Connie, beautiful big fish with nice flesh that flakes in big flakes.

That's the Golden Eye I caught. They are quite bony and the flesh is not great, but that was my first fish ever. They really are better in soups.

Here is the Golden Eye at the bottom of the bucket.

P. and S. who caught the connie I ate.

A.'s connies being smoked.

A shaggy mane, too old to be eaten, but I do like their look.

For a while I had neighboors who didn't take care of their dogs (now they have left) and this Headless Dog was one of them.

My Malaysian wooden wind bell hanging on the corner of the cabin. You can see that the leaves are turning.
