2014 Nearly Over

Last night I went through all my photos for 2014, and there was a lot. I picked a few to post, it is not really meant as a summary, but nearly. Though some things that are important to me happened but did not make it to this photo blog, and some things of no importance are shown.

2014 started with me on the road, and indeed there was a lot of driving done.

Shadow of grass on rock.

A vulture taking off.

Seminole Canyon State Park.

The coast of Texas which was a big surprise to me.

Louisiana was not particularly on my bucket list but still a nice place to visit.

Mostly I wanted to see the Mississippi River, and here I am.

Seeing armadillos for the first time was great. They are truly very neat creatures.

... and then from swamp back to desert and the second time around Big Bend was in bloom when I went through.

Three Rivers Petroglyph Reserve... I took over a thousand pictures there

Airplanes are everywhere and go pretty much everywhere

Which can be pretty handy since I ended going to Malaysia

Then back to the Four Corner area.
Just a sun-bathing lizard. I noticed last night that I took a lot of pictures of lizards.... and birds.

Monument Valley, which was also a bucket-list item.

And a long drive back to Canada.

Canada Day in the Rockies as I started my trip to northern Canada

Fall in the cabin.

Traditional moose tanning course.

Snow

Not a lot of snow really but snow, and some cold days.

some pretty cold days. This is a photo after a 8 km (5 miles) hike at -27C (-17F)
