Elephants of Kruger National Park - Part 3 - Crossing the River

This is a cute thing that I saw, from quite far so the photos are blurry.
This small group of elephants crossing the river somewhere where it is quite deep.

The first guy goes in and all seems fine.

Then the big guy is on quite deep and has to raise his trunk like a snorkel to breath.

I don't have pictures of the smaller guys crossing because I watched holding my breath thinking "they are going to drown!!!" but the last one also fairly big crossed with her trunk up too...so did the small one, but it was just nerve racking to watch.

Just to show, you can see the water mark on the big guy, notice how the little guy is all wet, he was totally under, just his trunk was poking out of the water.
