Hippopotami in Kruger National Park

Yes, I checked and apparently the plural of "Hippopotamus" is "Hippopotami"!!!

Mostly when you see hippos you see "islands" or "rocks" and they don't always move that much so they are not always to tell apart from the real thing.. Mostly the give away is the roundness of the pinkish tone as well as the occasional flicker of an ear.




As soon as one gets out of the water they are truly unmistakable
 
Here there is even a baby with its mum.



And here another baby. This is not the same little guy.
