Elephants of Kruger National Park - Part 5 - At the Water Tank

A water tank can be used to lean against.

But the best part is of course water.

I love the way they climb up on the blocks around the tanks to reach in.

For the short ones, it can be quite a reach.

Are the water tanks for the wildlife? Are they from underground sources or hauled?

They actually have man-made pond like drinking spots for the animals. Not sure if it is mostly for the benefit of the tourists so the animals come to the drinking holes, or the animals so they don't die of thirst in dry years
